Planning Engineer, Taylor Woodrow (Civl Engineering Divison of Vinci UK), NET Phase 2

Vinci Construction (UK) Jan 2012 – Present Planning Engineer – Nottingham Express Transit Phase 2 Opportunity to relocate back to Nottingham to work on the new phase of the Tram Line extension, joining the Planning Team on a £570million project. Achievements to date include producing £8million Service Diversion programme for both Clifton & Beeston Lines, breaking down activities to form a level 3 programme on the Clifton Line, loading the main programme with resources and financial information and producing and monitoring a 6 week look ahead programme with input from section heads and transmitting to the client and relevant stakeholders on a weekly basis. Since August 2012 I have been solely responsible for the Line 1 & Depot Extension Programme and the 6 Week Rolling Programme for the entire project. Valuable experience gained in planning techniques on a large project together enhancing further experience & knowledge of using web based Primavera P6 version 7.

Costain Ltd – Civil Engineering June 2008 – Jan 2012

Planning Engineer – National Grid London Tunnels (Costain/ Skanska Joint Venture) (Feb 2011 – Jan 2012) Joined project at commencement of Construction Phase on a £200 million, 5 year contract to construct 16 deep segmental shafts and 36km of Tunnelling (4 & 3m). Duties include Monitoring 3rd Party Trackers where the proposed tunnel crosses a 3rd party line e.g. LU Piccadilly Line, Value Engineering & LEAN, Updating 4week look ahead programme onto main Programme on Primevera P6, Construction Logic flow Charts, Implementing ‘Planning IBP’, Progress Monitors and As Built Programme using TILOS software.

Planning Engineer – Highways Agency Maintenance Contract (Area 7) (Apr 2009 – Feb 2011) Joined the mobilisation team for the new commission of MAC Area 7 in April to carry out handover from previous commissions moving onto mobilising Planning Dept. Responsible for creating, updating and interrogating a continuous programme of works for the Highways Maintenance Commission using Primevera P6 and TILOS Software applications. Duties also include holding weekly meetings for different elements of the contract – Structures, Environment and Network Maintenance and searching for opportunities to utilise the network with maximum proficiency for job sharing opportunities on a Network with nearly 800 miles of motorway and dual carriageway.
