Principal Programme Planner 

Planning lead for the signalling and telecoms aspect of the London to Corby electrification project. Scope includes track enhancement support, p/way, over line electrification, signalling, and telecoms.  

Responsibilities and duties include:

  • Manage schedules from several contractors (Carillion, Telent and Siemens)
  • Evaluate contractor schedule quality and influence best practise;
  • Agree contractor schedule baseline for EV reporting;
  • Drive contractors to provide the project controls reporting in the correct format, on time, accurately and to the correct level of detail;
  • Define and monitor key interdependencies between Network Rail disciplines and contracted work to ensure that the project has a realistic and achievable programme;
  • Understand, analyse and challenge contractors information to ensure progress and cost are understood and can be clearly reported;
  • Produce trackers for works and detail if not appropriate for gantt chart use;
  • Prepare for and support the project manager during MBRs;
  • Coordinate and agree planning assistant workload and act as a mentor.
