Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

when I installed P6 on my laptop,I installed it without sample project.Now I need sample project..any website from where I can download sample project in my P6???

Put the cd1 in and explore it instead of autrun.
open install/database/configAsst
it will open database wizard
select
create new primavera database
and put key EC C01 in and hit next.
Select
Microsoft Sql server[if not oracle database]
and check to include sample project data
Hit next
Select
PMDB database and hit next
Select
Load application data only and check to load license key
hit folder icon to direct to license file.
and hit next on warning screen.
Then enter
username: privuser and
Password: privuser [if you are on defaults]
server Name: localhost\primavera
database Name: pmdb$primavera
hit next and select
Yes, I want to overright my databse with dafault data and
hit next.
if every thing was put right then it should update the database with sample projects.
But be aware it will overwrite the existing database. so you need to backup if you have some projects in the database to save.
