Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Conecting BD with P5 without interbase

Hello all,

Do u know wht isthe procedure to do the conection of BD?

I have a database alias called PMDB and driver type Microsoft SQL Server/MSDE, host name micro**\primavera and datbase name pmdb$primavera.
That first database is ok, my doubt is: Where is database called pmdb$primavera?
I need to create a new database alias called PROJMM POINTING to other way that is not database name pmdb$primavera.

logon to the SQL server and then to "Programs"-->"Microsoft SQL Server"-->"Enterprise Manager" then u choose "Databases" and then right click on your databse and "All Tasks"-->"Backup database" and then select where u want to put the file, so u get the database file.
