Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Comparison of different enterprise planning software packages

Apologies if this question is not in the correct location within the Forum

We are starting to look at introducing an enterprise planning package into the business. Does anyone have experience of evaluating P3e against Artemis Views or Hydra (The Program Management Group)?

What ultimately guided their final choice of product?

Are there any other similar packages available?

I suggest to consider also Open Plan and Spider Project. Both packages are successfully used on the enterprise level. The choice depends on what features are essential for your approach to project scheduling, budgeting, resource and risk management, etc. We usually suggest to make a list of necessary features and results you want to obtain (ideal case) and comparing the candidates by their ability to satisfy your requirements. In Russia Spider Project always win. Now Artemis and Spider create link between Spider Project and Artemis 7 (portfolio management) that will be ready in two or three months. But you may want something more traditional. Choosing right software is serious and critical task.
Best Regards and good luck.
