Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

if you use P3 v3.1 then look for the p3.out file.
open it and scroll down. you will see the loop reports.
when you clean (break/ delete a relationship inside the loop) each loop do a run (F9) again.
if still there are loops it will show under the P3.out file. you will need to do the above again.

Hi Anu,

Loop is a circular logic within a network, if loops detected in the project, P3 cannot calculate the schedule until you eliminate all loops.

Example is when the relationship of Activity A to Activity B is SS & you link again to Activity B to A with FS then this is the loop.

To solve this problem, select the schedule icon instead of pressing F9 & tick "Schedule Now" In Output Option, mark the box next to "View on screen" tick OK & OK. Finally, check the Loop Report in Primavera Look.

HTH.

Click on the schedule icon and it will generate a report.

In the report, You may find list of activities involved in loop. Resolve the links and its done.
