Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Friends,

We just had a power outage for 5 minutes & when i re-opened the P3 file on which I was working I could see only 47 activities instead of 3000+ activities.
I tried to get info from Projec.xls/activity.xls, just getting 47 activities.
Has anyone encountered this problem before & if so please advise!!

Thanks

Dattatreya

Thanks mangesh,
I could recover 1800 activities out of a max 2500 activities. Surprisingly the previous project & the current project have same number of files & are of nearly equal size.

Paul, Thanks for the batching info, i will inform about its effectiveness today.

Cheers

If pfx does not work you may want to try and batch it.

There is an article on my web site on this process.

Primavera also put out a fully automatic method of batching but it never worked for me. The programme is in the installation CD.
