Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

The contractor’s CPM for a project consists about 3000 activities and upon studying, the Client requested the contractor to amend some activities(say around 25 activities).
The question is, how to know that the contractor has amended only the said 25 activities and did not make any changes to the other 2975 or so activities.

If you are using P3, for checking only one schedule (the Baseline Schedule) there is only one software; SA Pro.

For checking two P3 schedules to see the difference, there are three software packages,

SA Pro

Claim Digger (now surprisingly sold by Primavera in completion with their other ‘approved’ partners.)

Primaplan Investigator

If you are using P3e or P3e/c, then the choices is Claim Digger (built-in with the upcoming version 4.0) and Schedule Analyzer for the Enterprise.

For MS Project, it doesn’t matter as the software cannot be used for CPM analysis, just pretty graphics.

Good Luck!
