Kier,

1 mh/sm for table form seemed ok but for beam u may use 2 mh/sm. It is already a fast rate...

Tower crane availability highly dictates cycle time especially if MEPF, Architectural and balance of your structural works are already progressing in parallel. So you have to make sure that your intended cycle time goes along with the total tower crane hours availability.

Hi Arman,

Thanks a lot for the info,

Please confirm if my productivity rate for formworks are correct.

table forms for beam and slab =1mhr/sm

Wall and column forms= 2 mhr/sm

Does anybody know how crane analysis is done.Do I have to consider the load of tower crane for 1 floor.Does the cycle time dictates the number of tower crane?

Kier,

I would like to suggest the following:

considerations:

1. Podium level not included;

2. 2 to 3 sets table and beams forms;

3. 2 sets column and shear wall forms;

4. 1 to 2 sets re-shoring;

5. Slab design with beams (not flat slab);

6. 1 Tower Crane;

7. 1 to 2 units man lift (fast car);

Working hours:

Structural Workers: 7:00 start

MEPF Workers: 7:30 start

cycle time:

7 to 9 days per floor (slab with beams)

5 to 6 days per floor (flat slab)

notes:

1. The number and type of form sets highly dictates the speed of structural construction per floor. It is very important to know what is being considered in the tender programme as it is expensive.

2. Other factors that have to be considered:

2.1 Materials and Manpower Movement;

2.2 Tower Crane Analysis;

2.3 Construction Lifts Analysis;

3. Discuss with Forms and Scaffolding teams or supplier regarding rates of progress.

4. Wet weather

I hope that the above may make sense to you. I also hope that others may contribute or comment.

Best regards,

Arman
