Project Control Engineer:

-       Responsible for performing project control activities and/or supervising the overall project controls effort for Power Generation projects.

-       Analyze variances in cost and schedule performance against the plan.

-       Review project profit recognition. Provide evaluation of opportunities with management.

 

Detailed Tasks and responsibilities include:

 

 

Planning:

1.     Giza North Power Plant.

Contract Price:EGP 562.7 Million,  USD 70.2 Million

Client: Power Generation Engineering and Services Company (PGESCO).

 

-       Following up on construction works for the project including civil, architectural, and electro mechanical works.

-       Updating the project baseline schedule for construction, engineering and procurement activities.

-       Arranging meetings with construction teams to assess delays and deficiencies and discuss mitigation efforts. 

-       Evaluate requests for time extension and prepare reports as part of the schedule impact analysis.

-       Ensure effective coordination and cooperation between other team members, particularly in regard to cost, planning (forecasting) and project management matters.

-       Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.

1.     Giza North Power Plant.

Client: Power Generation Engineering and Services Company (PGESCO).

2.     6th Of October Power Plant Project.

Contract Price:EGP 220 Million.

Client: Ansaldo.

3.     El Tebbin Power Plant Project.

Contract Price:EGP 513 Million,  Euro 23 Million

Client: Power Generation Engineering and Services Company (PGESCO).

 

-       Lead a team of junior engineers to perform cost management activities.

-       Responsible for controlling and monitoring total project expenditures. This includes verifying and checking of invoices from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded.

-       Control budget, direct /indirect costs, analysis for manpower/ equipment performance.

-       Support project teams to ensure costs are controlled within budget, and that cost control is maintained from inception to completion.

-       Generate and submit regular respective project cost control reports including estimation against actual project cost, variance data and forecasts to assure respective cost are monitored during the project.

-       Administer budget variance tracking for the project. Investigate variances and recommend needed adjustments and corrective actions to project manager and senior management.

-       Develop the forecast cost for each item in the project in terms of materials, equipment, own work and subcontractors work.

-       Follow up change orders and extra works performed on site.

-       Maintain a close working relationship with Contract Administrators to ensure accurate recording and forecasting of contracts.

-       Keep close contact with the site warehouse to ensure full control of material movement.

-       Generate cash flow curves by carefully reviewing project schedule and contract payment terms in the client’s contract (for cash in forecasting) and subcontractor’s and supplier’s contractors (for cash out forecasting).
