Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi D,

Try to check your TCP/IP Properties:

1. To verify SQL Server 2005 Express port number click Start, Programs, Microsoft SQL Server 2005, Configuration Tools,SQL Server Configuration Manager.
2. Expand SQL Server 2005 Network Configuration, and click the instance name you are using (standalone by default is PRIMAVERA).
3. Make sure that Named Pipes and TCP/IP are enabled.
4. Right click on TCP/IP and click Properties.
5. Click the IP Addresses tab and browse to the bottom.
6. TCP Dynamic Ports will show what your port number is "####". Please make sure this port is entered correctly in the database configuration screen.

a. TCP Port "1433"
b. IP Address "127.0.0.1"
c. TCP Dynamic Ports "2273"

Sorry I don’t know how paste an image here.

Regards,

Arnold
