Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi Folks,

Does anyone have a "transporter" to take the information from Maximo (V4) and to put into P6.1?

Would be very grateful indeed.

Thanks in advance.

Yes we do. Our LinkSync product is about two generations ahead of what IBM offers for the current version (which you doubtless know does not work with V4)

It has been 4 years in development, and our first customer has just finished a year of pretty much fault free running. This customer has about 100,000 open workorders, and twenty activity code dictionaries to synchronise.

Our interface is so user friendly, this customer is now starting the project to join P6 to Documentum using the same interface tool-kit we proviided for Maximo. They will complete this task WITHOUT spending any money with us.

Now we know it works properly, we are getting ready to sell it. I know that’s an old fashioned sequence of events.

We do not have any literature at the moment. One of the world’s largest companies starts a Pilot study next week, and frankly if that works (and it will) we do not need to spend any money on marketing.

We know we have the only complete Maximo<>P6 tool available.

If youy want to discuss this, send me an email with your phone number.
