Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Activity listing will not be typical for oil storage tanks, as different variables are to be considered. Location, (activities iif near the jetties, or located from a storage farm inland), method statement (sections of rolled sections to be fabricated, welded, erection procedures, internal coating, scaffolding, equipment to be used), access and mobilitiy, safety constraints etc.  In the construction of an oil storage tank in rastanura (Aramco), there was a series of consultations between operations, safety, logistics, consultant and security before we finally come up with an activity listing. (Sequence and durations is another issue)

I can send you a kind of format of an epc planning. It will contain useful information on durations, naming and all kinds of tank farm related equipment; as  Mike remarks; you will have to check all of it in your own project of course.

I hope it will help you in the process of gaining knowledge on this specific subject.

Regards,

Arend.

I guess you will have to private message me.

Hi All

The problem of receiving a schedule from another source is that every project is unique and there is a distinct danger that just by copying someone elses project you will create fundamantal errors in your own.

This is apart from the fact of basic rules of copyright and confidentiality which should preclude any such sharing.

The basic rule is that if you don't know how to build it you don't know how to plan it - so ask someone ON THE PROJECT who does know.

By pretending that your knowledge and experience is greater than it is will be a recipe for disaster.

At least tell us what type of structure it is:

Steel - Concrete - Polypropylene bags?

Best regards

Mike Testro

PS if you are going to respond use the private message service - I will delete all email addresses.

Hi Harry,

Good thing:

i have a schedule for a large oil storage, piping, manifold, fire protestion and loadingstations for you.

Bad thing:

I do not have it with me so I can send it to you tomorrow.

Regards,

Arend
