Senior Planning Engineer - Worley Parsons

Upon joining WP I’ve been engaged with varieties of CAPEX projects within their Minerals and Metals group mainly including feasibility study and Definition as well as Execution phase project schedules for process plants and materials handling facilities. As senior planner I’m in charge organizing and steering all planning related activities for the project team to make sure the whole scope of projects has been covered and well time-planned in schedules. In addition I tutor and mentor graduate and junior planners.

• Project – Kazakhmys Smelter Plant Optimisation

From pre-feasibility to definition and execution phases, I developed detailed schedules regarding Rotary Handling Furnace replacement and ESF (Electric Slag Furnace) while working closely with project engineers and manager. The work involved presentation of the overall EPC schedule to the client and the project team with regard to the shutdown windows, detailed design, long lead equipment, construction and commissioning during a three phase period.

• Project – Eyre Iron - Fusion DFS

Eyre Peninsula Joint Venture definitive feasibility study design management for Fusion prospect in the South Australia region. I created resource loaded schedule for the implementation of the project including definition phase design, long lead items, execution phase detailed design, procurement (equip, material, fabrications) and construction and commissioning of the whole area comprising process plant, reclamation port and overland conveyors area.
