The AdelaideAqua D&C is a multi-national consortium comprising of McConnell Dowell Constructors, Abrigroup Contractors, Acciona Agua and United Utilities which was awarded the $1.8 Billion contract to Desgin, Build, Operate and Maintain the Adelaide Desalination Plant over 25 years. The plant has a maximum capacity of 100G/L pa and will provide up to 40% of Adelaide's drinking water each year, it is South Australia's largest ever public infrastructure investment.
My role on the project was the development and maintenance of the overall project Master Program by the coordination of a team of planners. The integration of sub-projects, development of performance metrics, interfacing between different stakeholders and the reporting/analysis of the Master Program. This project consists of a wide range of disciplines from civil, tunnelling, marine works, buildings/structures, mechanical, electrical, controls and commissioning, each with its own complexities and challenges.
