Hi,
I have a P6 schedule (called Schedule A)that I need to link to another P6 schedule (called Schedule B). I also have these required external links defined in an Excel sheet.
I did the following:
1- I exported Schedule A "Activity Relationships" to Excel by going to: File -> Export -> Spreadsheet-(XLS) ->...
2- In the above exported Excel file of point 1, I added new lines for the new external links and specified in column "pred_proj_id" and "proj_id" the adequate information.
3- I imported back the Excel file of point 2 above into P6, Schedule A.

During importing I received an error message saying that it did not recognize the external activities, knwoing that I am opening schedule A and B at the same time.

Can anyone help me on how to import external link via Excel?

Thanks,
Richard

Hi Richard,

You cannot add or modify any P6 format in Excel because of its "USERDATA" SETTING.

Add the required column in P6 and export it to Excel and perform the changes in relationship.
