Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Dear Friend,

Can anyone guide how to use Est Weight column in P6.

1. What is the use of it?
2. How to use it?
3. Whether S Curve can be generated for early & late dates?

Regards,

Bharath Kumar J

Hi.
That’s right, you have to key in Est weight for each activity base on your experience.
Then run Top down estimation in Tool menu.

Dear Sir,

Whether i will have manually key in all est weight values against each activity?

If i need to enter manually, then, i will check for S Curve as suggested by you.

You can choose S-curve to display base on early or late date by setting option in Edit -> User Preference -> Resource Analysis.

Hi Bharath
Est weight is used for Unit Top-down estimation. Let say you have 1000 unit, base on activity’s Est weight Primavera will deliver units to each activity.
