Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi all,

I need help on P6 scheduling. I have a project which starts on Dec. 2015 and after inserting the activities I press F9 and selecting data date which is in Dec. 2015, the activity is registred as having started as I see on the activity information that the start box is checked and the activity bar has changed. My question, why would the F9 (scheduling) make the project to start when the date is a future date?

You comments are appreciated.

Dear Anthony Obasi,

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE THAT PRESSING F9, ADDS ACTUALS TO THE PROJECT.

You must be using " APPLY ACTUALS"

You need to play around Calenders to see if it causes any abnormality.

Thanks Zolton for that reassuring and confident manner in noting pressing F9 will not work this way. I will have to check if soemthing is wrong somewhere.

Thank you.

pressing F9 would would NEVER make the activity have an actual start date unless you check the actual start box or unless you

select  “Apply Actuals: from the tools selection.
