Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I have been trying to get CS tube and the lead time varies from country to country.
Sometimes the client insists that tube or pipe has to be of european or Nth American origin which can be a lead time of 35 weeks (especially if its seamless & not welded). Whilst I have been getting better lead times from China and Estonia.
Our procurement dept are now trying every corner of the globe.

It depends upon your supplier exclusively. His factory profuction capacity, stock at that period and projects in his hand.

So, its better to call ur vendor rather than asking from planners.

Call your vendors for more accurate answer. Don’t rely on planners, because planners do also ask suppliers for this kind of information.

My poject is using CS pipes 20" dia. or more, and fittings previosuly estimate 33 wks of lead in time but the vendour is quite quick getting it ready in 20 wks.
