Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi Everyone,

Can I know what is the difference between Navisworks and Revit? My planning manager just bought a Navisworks software.

Both Navisworks and Revit are BIM software and belong to Autodesk. What is the difference?

Why Navisworks?

Why Revit?

Thank you for your time.

Kind regards,

Planner

Revit is used to create the 3D models and Navisworks to create the 5D models (adding in the 3D model, the time and costs component).

Have a look in the below links:

I'm no expert but...  Revit to create the design model, Navisworks to complete the full design review?

I'm sure the Autocad website has a better explanation!
