I am new in Planning. Can you please guide me.
What is the best way to measure progress at WBS level and Job level on a project having 500+ activities and 26 WBS, without cost/ resource loading. I selected the option "Performace % Complete" also. After inputting the % Completion in Activity % Completion, I am not getting the % at WBS and Project level.
Please guide me on this.

Dear Experts,
I just want to know the right procedure of updating the baseline program by weekly and monthly.
I am not sure if it is right to run the program on its current date prior for submission to consultant or am i going to put only the actual then let the data date same with the baseline program.

Can someone tell me what is the best way of creating repeat activities in P6 V7, i have 2500 columns that i am constructing and i need some form of testion on all of them, i dont wish to write 5 activities of testing per column repeated 2500 times, is there a way to do this like in MSP you have recurring task?
I'm semi-new to P6.
I'm trying to hold a date in my schedule. In the bottom activity box I have the dates selected that I want to hold, but in the schedule the * does not appear. When I update the schedule, it changes all 100% completed dates to the data date. If I change the data date, it changes all 100% done activities to that data date.
Any input would be apreciated.

Hi All,
Just a small query, i convereted the progress from p6 to excel sheet, computed the weightage w.r.t duration of each activity and multiplied it to the current progress percentage, when added, it has given me an overall %age, but this overall %age is very different from the what the primavera p6 is giving, means primavera is giving 42% where as my excel computation is giving me 20% progress overall. WHY IS IT SO? plz help me in telling where am i wrong ?

With the risk of this being asked before, but as excuse that the search ain’t working I’m asking this (apparently) simple question.
I’m working on a rail project at the moment and it’s in P6 6.2
Our schedule got approved by the client and I’ve created the first baseline.
I’ve now progressed the current schedule and want to create a S-Curve showing the Early and Late from the baseline and the actual and forecast from the current (as I used to do in P3).
