Hi, I have just started a basic construction qualification nd im starting to learn the basics of project scheduling. I have been given an assignment to create a Gantt chart, activity on arrow diagram and find the CPA aswell as noting the earliest and latest start times.

I want monitor resources of a bunch of activities with using LOE activity.
My Case : When updating the project if i realize that project is delayed due to client/employer and still i want to finish it on time and for that i need to mobilize additional resources.
What will be the Best Combination of DURATION TYPE & % COMPLETION TYPE for the LOE activity?

I'm in transition form P3 to P6, I got already the schedule but my problem is when I update my schedule the "Plan Value Cost" didn't appear only The "Earned Value Cost", your help in this situation is highly appreciated.

I have a project in p6 with a fixed baseline. after 25% of the project is finished, it was discussed and agreed to fix a new baseline from the current project,due to some issues. Now the the following problems i am facing;
1. Activities which are in progress have a planned finish date(from new target) not equal to the current finish date.
2. Then i understood that the planned finish date is showing the completion date, at the time when the activity actually started. (since the new target was taken from the current project)
3.
How the unit % complete is getting updated?
Even though I apply the latest duration % for each activity, the unit % is getting considerably changed only when I change the Data Date. What Data Date has to do in the updation of the Unit & completion besides the duration percentages for the indivudual activities?
Could anyone please explain me why it is so?
Any feedback will be appreciable.
Hi PP members,
I have just entered a project into P6 which is about half way completed. I need to create the baseline for the projects mid way position. To do this i created a new baseline based on the current project, but when I display the baseline bars some of them line up fine (should be equal to current bar) and some of them are miles off?
Why would it do this as I need the baseline to be equal to the current bars?
Can send a screenshot if it helps.
