Quick question about your preferences for Primavera software.
I use Asta Powerproject & Project - client requesting P6.
Is the web based EPPM version suitable or the traditional download preferred. Indeed are the two intergrated in terms of file transfer?

Hi All,
Can we show the % complete in tthe schedule by WBS and so get the overall % complete of the Project.
We would be updating the activity % complete but can the WBS show the oerall % complete based on the activity pogress %.
A schedule which has Engineering - Measured in Manhours, Procurement - Measured in Cost, Construction - Measured in Manhours.
I do make the OVerall % Complete and indivigual WBS % complete in Excel.

Hi Everyone,
I am having problems importing two MSP files that are saved as xml format. I have tried on our corporate SQLServer V20 and also on my Standalone SQLite V21.
The V20 import log just says Import: Failed
The V21 import gives me a message as Import Successful but the schedule does not appear in my projects list and the log file says, yep, you guessed it, Import: Failed.
Both times the xml file fails to import. Any ideas? I am happy to share the MSP files for you to play with.

Is it possible to use Visualizer in P6 to create a visio stacked type of view? One timeline with activities stacked on top of each other to show a single timeline bar.

Looking for a recommended reading list, and possible third party tools.
The mission is to integrate the P6 data, and other datasets, with Power Bi
Reading an exported Excel spreadsheet does have the advantage of preserving the data date, but does seem a bit 'clunky' compared to reading the P6 data directly. But the P6 data seems to be uniquely badly normalised for actual use outside the P6 clients.

I will appreciate any help on the issue I am currently facing:
I copied a subcontractor Xer File to my Master Schedule . This plan was moved to a WBS within the master schedule, however I am now facing an issue where a number of activities adopted a global calendar therefore their dates are all over the place
Is there a way I could this or I'll need to go back to the inserted programme and change the calendar manually ?
Best ways to speed up P6? It used to be ok, has slowed down. I probably need a new computer, but what are some basic system and program changes to improve performance speed of P6?
Why can't I open two projects and copy activities from one to the other? the 2nd is just a later update, tries to paste back into the same project... - this should be easy, like from one spreadsheet to another - is there a trick to this? Pastes it back into the same one and want to just rename the activities....I guess I could export and import but surely there is an easier way....

We've a staff rate change coming up and I wondered if there were an easy way to add a new rate to multiple resources at once rather than go through our staff list of near on 2,000 people individually and adding the new rates to each one.
I've thought of global change but that doesn't seem to have such an option.
I'm slightly concerned I'm going to spend the next few months going through them all changing them one by one.
