Way just to show the critical or driving activity connector lines in P6? (like we could in suretrak 20 yrs ago?
(When is P6 going to incorporate AEC construction features instead of IT/programmers turtle pace guesses at features?)
Let’s consider the simple case:
There is a project model with multiple users. Some of them are responsible for planning, change management, coordinating some subprojects, others can enter and change resource costs or just get their plans and enter actual data.
I have an experience of organizing group work with Spider Project software but am interested in the ways it is done with other tools, in particular with P6.

I wanted to copy some activities over from one project to another but I had to keep the activity IDs the same. The only way I could get that to work was to import the XER into the other project, which did work.
However, everytime I reschedule P6 acts as if I have 2 projects open and gives me the option to use each projects own data date or apply a selected data date to all projects.
Is there a way of getting P6 to think its just one project again?

How do I show "Actuals / early dates" from the baseline file - put the file as target but actuals not correct.

When attempting to report from P6 via Oracle BIP for some reason I am unable to get all of the projects. I am wondering if there is a security setting or something that is holding these projects back from being reported.
For Example:
If I have multiple projects across multiple OBS bands, I can currently only get projects from 1 OBS band. Even when just pulling in the project name into Oracle BIP report.

I'm investigating the options to have a reliably integration between the project documents as they are managed in sharepoint, and the document status in primavera.
I see a lot of planners and project teams, delivering a lot of effort to manualy setup and maintain all the documents and their workflow in Primavera. this is done via excel dumps from the document metadata in sharepoint, and than "manualishly" fed into P6.
Fact is that in my organisation, Sharepoint for document control is a fact to live with, and so is Primavera.
I have activities in P6 to hold the actual costs for Work Elements, and these match the financial charge codes that are held in our corporate financial management system. These "Actual Cost" activities have no planned units, no planned cost: they just have dummy "Actual Cost" resources. As you might expect, I enter no Actual Costs against the activities that describe the work of the project and that hold the resources.
We know that dates are often off by 1 day because there are hidden decimals - but main source & main fix?
Owner looked at schedule and asked why there were late dates on items with Actuals - what do you say? what do you do? - because it is true, it does not make sense. I assume people copy the dates to a column and delete them in the udf column - but sounds like a huge hassle - is there an easier way? is this something Oracle should fix - I guess I always just ignored it.
how do you turn the P6 "enter bell" off? that noise that occurs everytime you type anything..(I normally just turn my system volume off but sometimes I have to listen to something as well working...) - this might be the most important question ever posted.
