Hi,
I write an article regarding How does Primavera P6 summarize data in the Summary / Grouping Band
You can find out How Schedule % complete and Performance % complete are calculated in Summary band.
Kindly read it here https://doduykhuong.com/2017/07/10/how-does-primavera-p6-summarize-data-in-the-summary-grouping-band/
Payam and Jose you have to have resources you need a measuring stick
Hi guys,
I do have a problem with the Performance % complete in P6 which are not being rolled-up.
Non of the above solutions worked for me. Still in the summary I'm getting zero percent while all of the child activities have been completed and actualized.
Can anyone please help me with this issue?
Cheers,
Payam
Helo all,
Can you explain how to measure the planned % of completion(for the purpose to make the project progress planned curve) in diffrent analysis date from the baseline programme byprimavera 6

Hi folks,
I'm just a little confuse on how exactly Performance % Complete behaves when it rolls up.
I have all my activities resource and cost loaded but it doesn't rollup. Below are my current settings:
Calculations Tab: $1
WBS: Activity Percent Complete
Advance Scheduling: enabled recalculate assignment
Group & Sort: show total
Any help would be very much appreciated.
thanks.
Don
Thanx Mark again & again
regards
Bugger...

This is my last attempt at getting in a link:
Primavera
This should do it for you
Dear David,
May you explain more.
Thx
riad
Riad,
Remember there is a switch at the project level in the "calculations" tab, where you can assign all uncosted resources at £1.00. This is good practice if you do not use P6 for resource costing...
Hi to David,
Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaax David it is done, Thanks to Mark TOO
best regards
riad
Very well done David, I forgot that Id also experienced the same issue due to a lack of $/unit associated with the resources. Pretty certain that the same issue applies when trying to view the resource usage on the web application
Mark
The answer is (expert here) that performance % complete is based on money NOT manhours. So all of your resources need costed. If you price them at £1.00 then performance % complete is the Manhour liquidation.
In addition by default primavera does NOT recalculate assignment costs when scheduling by default (you need this) so either recalculate assignment costs under the "tools" pull down, or switch it on under scheduling options (recommended)
Hi Mark,
Thx for ur Reply, I will try ur comments, I will let U know the result soon.
Thx again.

If you have added/deleted activities since creating the baseline, you will get the problem of performance & schedule % complete not rolling up. I would suggest updating the baseline to capture any new activities/deleted activities.
Regards
Mark
You should check the technique for computing performance percent complete set in the earned value tab of your WBS settings, it should be Performance % complete based on activity % complete
% complete should roll up the in the performance % complete column (But not Activity % complete)
