1. What does "K" factor mean.?
2. How to calculate and fix K factor for a project.?
I handled few projects with progress measurement system. Some of them use 0.8 and some of using 0.6, which is one correct or it will differ always based on project nature.?
Please explain me.

There is a Wikipedia page that explains how to compute critical path drag, but only with finish-to-start relationships. I recently had a long discussion with another PP member, Dennis Hanks, in which I mentioned the value/importance of computing critical path drag and drag cost. Dennis looked at the page and indicated that the concept seemed not that valuable as drag "is confined to networks with only FS relationships!"
A schedule was built completely by my colleague, and after it was sent to the owner for approval, It was requested to modify it and divide all activities to more detailed ones with maximum duration 21 day.
I started to modify and divide these activities and merge some electromechanical items in the schedule, but I noticed that the finish dates for most activities when I run the schedule changed and pushed one day.

as this week i update the program total performance complete is more than scheduled but when i prepared cost based S curve the actual value for this month is coming less than planned for the month (if i go through budgeted and actual manpower it is showing logically correct values) please help

I have the must finish by date on the project set to Oct 12 2015. But why would the late finish date be earlier than the ealry finish date? I understand the negative float is due to the project being behind. See snapshot below.

Is there any free software I can use to create fast and clear small programme with the pourpouse of rapresentation/comparison of programme?
I try to explain it better:
Sometimes I would need to prepare fast "summary programme" in order to compare easily some specific task or to create small sub-programme which contains activities at level of detail not required in Primavera main programme.
