Moving Tasks from one Summary to another

R
Rajesh K 👤 Member for 14 years 4 months

Hello,

I have a requirement to move some completed tasks from the existing summary task to another new summary task. I am able to do copy-paste. But baseline hours at the new summary task does not show the correct hours. At the new summary task, I would like to get sum of baseline hours for all the individual tasks under it. If I set baseline, it shows incorrect values. Please help me in doing this.

eg: there are 5 tasks under Summary Task - Old and baseline hours is 100. Suppose I have moved 2 tasks having combined baseline hours 30 to "Summary Task - New".

Date Range Filter

R
Rohit K 👤 Member for 18 years 1 month

Guys,

I am using MSP 2007 Pro version standalone version installed on desktop. Can any one of you help me as for one of my schedule the date range filter is not working. For other schedules they are working fine. Not able to understand the cause of this problem.

Does preparing in MSP 2010 and saving it in 2007 verison have any effect as I guess my contractor might have done it so while submitting as he has got 2010.

Rohit

How to create statis baseline start and finish date columns that won't change

Hi

I have a plan which has actual start and finish date columns based on predecessors and successors. Since a project may run for a few years I wanted to add baseline start and finish date columns so user can easily spot delays, shifts in timing. This should be easy, but haven't worked out how to do it. I tried just copy paste the actuals into the baseline columns. However they are then linked to the predecessors and successors and change along with the actuals. Is there a way just to copy the values as static dates, or a better way to do this?
