How to create statis baseline start and finish date columns that won't change

Hi, I have a plan which has actual start and finish date columns based on predecessors and successors. Since a project may run for a few years I wanted to add baseline and finish date columns so user can easily spot delays, shifts in timing. This shows easy, but haven't worked out how to do it. I tried just copy paste the actuals into the baseline columns. However they are then linked to the predecessors and successors and change along with the actuals. Is there a way just to copy the values as static dates, or a better way to do this?

MS Project 2010 - How to Share Schedule

Have used MS Project 2003 for years.  On that, when you send an mpp file to someone, they can open and make edits, but like I said, new to Project 2010.  Anyway, when I sent an mpp file to my Project Manager it came through read only with the tool ribbon at the top greyed out.  Right clicked on the file and checked the General tab and neither the Read-Only or Hidden boxes are checked.  Need to be able to send the manager a fully functional file.

MSP 2007 Sub-Tasks Moving

Hi,

Can't see if this has been asked/answered before - if so, apologies.

A colleague has produced a detail schedule in MSP, and when saved it was fine with all sub-tasks showing under the correct summary task.

However, when it is reopened, all the sub-tasks appear to be distributed randomly around the schedule, additional blank lines appear, and other tasks are renumbered.

We have looked at saving with and without sorting on, there are no groupings set up, and we are only using the Gant Chart view.

Has anyone else come across this probl

Is there any way to create a progamme with repetitive mini processes?

E
Erik Jonker 👤 Member for 23 years 1 month

For a study, we have a WBS of all the deliverables. We have the WBS in MSP, to use with WBS chart pro.

I would like to add the series of steps (about 7 different types) without copying and pasting them.

Is there any way to access the information in MSP with ODBC?
