I have following settings in my project.

Project calendar is Standard.( 7 days a week and 10.5 hrs per day).Since this will be the working duration in fabrication Phase.

My updates in MSP is not showing the actual start date on Progress bars

Hi,

I am very new to the Microsoft Project 2010. Due to the conditions, I need to use the MS Project 2010 and I have not much idea about it. I have done the baseline program with resources. Now I want to monitor the status for this project. I did set the project as Baseline and start applying actual data to the individual items. Now my progress bars are not starting from the actual start date I am entering in as Actual start. For the items the % progress is more that what actually it should be, but still it doesn't show me early completion date for the items.

Roll Up

How can I get the Rolled up Values on the Summary Rows to sum up the Filtered values only.

I have run a filter to show Material resourced Tasks only, but the Rolled Up costs show the Sum for all tasks (including the labour ones which are not showing)

'Straightening the Progress Line'

Looking for some help:

I am trying to ‘straighten the progress line’ in Microsoft Project.

I am looking to establish the projected end date of activities and projected end date of the project following the input of progress.

I have tried to use the following function but with no result:

Tools > Options > Calculation

  • Updating task status updated resource status
  • Move end of completed parts status date back to status date
  • And remove start of remaining parts back to status date
  • Move start of remaining parts befor

"Composite" Timescale in MSP2010

Hi,

Hoping someone can help. I was wondering if MSP 2010 has the capability to show an "composite" timescale on the Gantt charts? By this, I mean something akin to P3 where you can showthe main timescale for the project duration on say a quarterly basis, but then expand the timescale over a 3 month period to show as a weekly timescale.

Thanks.

MS Project Resource Allocation

Dear Experts

Please can you guide me:

1. I had a PLANNED number of hours as 10 but the developer finished it in 5 hours ACTUAL. He is not overloaded

If I put in MPP, as task completed, I get overloaded figure to it's name. How can I resolve it.

Without baselining it.

2. I have assigned 4 developers to a project for 25% of time only for the said duration. How do we represent it so that

I don't have to manually put it the % allocation.

Thanks in Advance.

Incorrect representation of Progress Line in summary bar??

K
kumar s 👤 Member for 16 years 4 months

Dear All,

I have baselined my schedule and started recording the progress.

when i put the progress line,it shows prefectly correct for all the activities. But in the summary bar the Progress line goes ahead of the status date.I have 10 activites under that summary bar and in that 2 activities are over as per the plan. So by logic the progress line should show straight instead of moving ahead. Why is this thing happening...

Please guide me

thanks in advance
