A12 Witham Phase 2 Major Maintenance (£7.1m)

Principal Planner for construct only contract under NEC 3 Option C contract conditions. Works located on the A12 trunk-road, Witham, Essex to provide re-surfacing and road realignment utilising 24hr working. Contract involved crack and seat re-surfacing techniques, the provision and erection of 2no.

John Sisk & Sons, Assistant Site Management – Savoy Hotel – London (June 2007 – July 2007):

This was a £1m sample room and corridor refurbishment of a five–star hotel project, using a traditional procurement structure. One of two site managers managing an art deco style room with the adjoining corridor.

John Sisk & Sons, Assistant Site Management – Travelodge T5, Heathrow – London (August 2007 – November 2007): 

This was a £15m new build project comprising a concrete cast in-situ hotel and three level car park under a design and build procurement method. Involved in managing the concrete cast in-situ car park. Similar duties as the Chiswell Street project were conducted in the management of the ground works subcontractor.  

Construction Manager – Chiswell Street Hotel (December 2007 – September 2008):

This was a £25m project with a construction management procurement process, involving the refurbishment of a 250 year Grade 2 listed old brewery building into a 215 bedroom hotel with spa, meeting rooms, bars, and other facilities. Involvement included the following: management of the site setup, multi-service gang, the internal fabric repair and dry-lining trade contractors.

Project Engineer – King’s Cross and Mile End Underground Station Modernisations (October 2008 – October 2009): 

These projects were in the value of £31m and £32m, under a construction management procurement method.

Construction Planning – Thameslink KO2 London Bridge & Bermondsey Dive Under GRIP 3 & 4, Network Rail (October 2010 - July 2011):

Construction Planning & Optioneering Consultancy for the delivery and construction of London Bridge Station and Bermondsey Station (Key Output 2) as part of the Thameslink Project. Assisting Network Rail in developing a robust work breakdown structure, delivery programme, engineering, construction strategy for various options for the redevelopment of the stations, as part of the Grip 3 & 4 process.

Construction Planning & 3D/4D Modelling – Heathrow Terminal 2B (August 2011 – Present): 

Planner on the £460m second phase of a satellite building to support Heathrow Terminal 2. Assisting in the overall T2B 4D modelling duties for the substructure and superstructure works.

Working for Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions in the Power sector, working in and running the planning department which currently consist of a small team to which which contiune to grow during 2012 and onwards.

Our key disiplines include delivering engineering designs and documents to site operations in order for them to progress with new build and refurbishment projects in Overhead Line 132kV, 400kv projects.

Looking after some 50-60 current live projects with a range of 10k to 1.5 million value.
