My client provides its services to engineering and infrastructure projects and has a project portfolio covering a variety of sectors including rail, airports, oil and gas, power, commercial construction, water, and the defence sectors.
I am searching for a Senior Planning Engineer with civil engineering or heavy civil engineering project knowledge. My client is currently involved with a major tunnelling project in central London. Previous projects you may have completed might include tunnels, viaducts, bridges, sewage and water works, mining, maritime ports, dam/hydroelectric projects, and highway/road projects.
The Planning skills required for this position includes earned value analysis, cost and resource planning, creating and maintaining complex multi-scheduled programmes, critical path, performance and programme management, and risk. You will have been involved in major projects, including EPC/M projects. Having an understanding of both consulting and contractor environments would also be of interest. You will work with and communicate with a variety of different organisations, and with colleagues at all levels. You will use Primavera P6.
You will receive a daily rate of £450. Your contract will last for 6 months. You will be located in the Central East London offices (UK). This is an urgent position and my client hopes to have a Senior Planner working this role in February 2012.
