External Links in p6 Schedule need removing - inter project links

So i have opened my schedule today in p6 and relised someone else has copy parts of my project into their's as they needed the same type of activities in there schedule.

However when they have copied and pasted the WBS it they seem to have had the Only between copied activiies un checked (in the copy activity options) and thus i now have hundreds of inter project links as it is maintaining those links from my schedule.

How can i quickly removed these as there are hundreds

Excel Timeline - with milestones

L
Lee Johnson 👤 Member for 12 years 5 months

Hi All;

I'm struggling to work this out, what i need to produce in Excel, is a timeline for deliverables, in this case we have designs.

For each deliverable (1 row in excel) i have 4 dates (columns), Baseline Design Issue, Current Design Issue, Baseline Construction Start, Current Construction Start.

What i need excel to do is plot each of these 4 days on a timeline, as 4 milestones, but i have no idea where to start in terms of the formulae needed.

Any help on this would be appreciated. I tried to add a pic of what im after but cant get it working.

How long would it take to complete PMP certification?

A
Ali Amjad 👤 Member for 9 years 9 months

Now, I have searched a lot of communities and have read a lot of blogposts about the time it would take to complete my PMP certification, but they all quite vary from each other. So, I would like to know if anyone of you has completed PMP certification or are doing it. I would like to know your experience about it.

Resource load levelling within multiple projects

Hi all,

I have a query relating to load levelling resources within multiple projects with differing priorities.

I know a project has a "Project Levelling Priority" function within P6, so you can level using "Level Resources" that way; however, my schedules are set up using work packages at WBS level within multiple projects. Would it be possible to load level across multiple projects at WBS level?

So for example:

Resource 1

Priority 1 - WP2, Project A

Prioity 2 - WP4, Project B

Priority 3 - WP1, Project A

Resource 2

Cost Loading at Late Stage of Project

Hi all,

I was just asked to cost load P6 for a project that has been running already for 3 years..30,000+ activities..

I started by assigning in a cash resource the remaining $ (Contract BOQ $ - Actual to Date $) for each activity and the % is calculated based on site progress %, however this is way too time consuming.

The manpower is minimal for this task, any ideas on how to approach this task?
