P6 Actual Cost

M
Maxim Dr 👤 Member for 8 years 10 months

Hello,

In my P6 current settings, the actual cost is calculated as Total Units * Rate. The total units are collected from the period units. Is there a way to collect the actual cost from the Period Actual Cost? Say, the actual cost in Jan is 100$, Feb - 150$, I want to see 250$ in the Actual Total Cost, regardless of what units are? What settings do I need to change?

If this question has already been discussed, please refer me to the relevant thread.

Thank you very much.

Any planning & scheduling certifications for people with 1 year of work experience?

Hey there, I graduated as a civil engineer last year and now have 1 year of work experience. I want to further pursue my passion in planning and scheduling and was wondering if there are any certification I am eligible for?

Planning Process Map

Hi all.

I have been tasked with creating a process map to show the necessary stages of the planning process from receiving a tender to completing construction on site.

I am just looking to gain some usefull points from the forum in terms of important stages to ensure the programme is utilised correctly as part of a construction project.

Does anyone already operate under a process map? Does anyone have spefic 'gates' or 'target' to hit before moving onto the next stage of the process.

Glass Facade - construction sequence and timing

Dear All

With regards to when to start glass panel installation at facade, let us assume that the internal Partitions is block work and plastering can we install glass facade before starting of internal block work or it has to be installed after plastering

My doubt that if we start glass facade before then it will get dirty after we do plastering

Estimating & Planning Man Hours

Hi,

I've recently taken a job as an Estimator/Project Planner for a Mechanical & Civil Engineering Contractor.

I'm developing estimates and project schedules from 1st Principles and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good 'rule-of-thumb' guidebook for manhours that I can use to cross-check against my own production rates.
