Hi. I would like to know when is the best time to rebaseline a schedule. Is there a standard variance value that should be considered or is it different with each schedule? If it is different for each schedule what is the best approach to deciding this, e.g. do we set the variance limit at the planning phase?
Any contribution on how you do it or how you think it should be done is highly welcomed.
Hi,
Other than directly through Oracle, can members advise where is the recommended place to purchase P6 from?
Thanks
Hi all,
Working on a concentrator build, greenfields next to brownfileds environment. Need to model the men and material flow to optimise bottlenecks, security turnstiles, change houses etc. as well as the way the laydown yard is set-out with required material flowing to construction areas optimally.
Looking for companies and/or software packages working in this sapce. Based in South Africa.

Morne
Hi All, I am trying to come up with a research question and general areas of study within planning and scheduling. They are as follows:
Hello,
Ive imported a msp file into p6 using mpx.
I inherited the msp but the wbs went down to activity level.
Ive imported it and the wbs only goes to summary level.
My client will be expecting the wbs to go to activity level like the msp plan he handed over to me to convert.
Any recommendations on essentail books for EPC scheduling? I am trying to increase my knowledge within EPC. Thanks.
Does anyone know how I can get a trial license of Synchro Pro? The webiste says the demo is only a 15min screen sharing session. I wanted to have a go myself to see how easy it is to use and what I can do on it.
Ive been using Powerproject BIM and trying to import from Sketchup but its rife with problems and I dont seem to be getting the model that I want.
Apart from these two are there any others that would be worth trialling?
Can anybody send me a Program of Road Construction Work please?
