"Cannot accept a negative schedule" - is your only option to "Receive for Record"

"Cannot accept a negative schedule" - "must submit a recovery schedule" - are often in Specs, but why can't you accept it - if the job is indeed negative, it is not like you are saying the you get the later date for Substantial Completion - you are agreeing that it is negative.  I understand you want them to "try" to recover but that is not always possible.  Is your only option to "Receive for Record" are you at legal risk if you approve a negative schedule?

Level of Effort (LOE) - Activity Type

Dear Experts

For activity type - Level of Effort - why i can't assign duration to it. Every time i hit F9, the duration will go back to Zero.

By the way, i have not assign any baseline. I was just developing my work programme.

I have tried using the Sucessor FF , but if i use that , the duration would be too long.

FYI, i was assigning  Activity name: Performance Bond as LOE.

progress vs completion date

Hi Planners,

I am preparing S-Curve for construction project, let's assume the planned progress for the month is 60% and the actual progress is 55%, we are 5% behind. It is not necessary mean that the planned completion date has shifted or should go further?

I think it is not necessary the planned completion date to go further, am I right?

I seriously need your explanation

Regards,

Muataz

Info for after that fact baseline - reference for how long a parking lot light pole procurement should take?

Info for after that fact baseline - reference for how long a parking lot light pole procurement should take?  For example, is there a standard source to say what a "fair" duration would have been.  Due to circumstances - occasionally a fair after the fact baseline needs to be created, this is one of the pieces of info I need & if you can say it came from a reputable "source" it would make it more fair.  What is your estimate? I have scheduled for a while I would say 6 weeks, but would put 8 in my schedule - just off the top of my head.
