Singapore Authority Approval

Good morning guys, I would like to take this opportunity to ask if any of the more experienced planners on our group,

specially those who have worked with Singapore Projects. I am making a plan intended to be constructed in Singapore,

I would like to ask some assistance regarding on Authority Approval System, so that Piling Works, Civil works and other

Construction Works can be started.

Schedule and Cost impacts in P6 Risk analysis

Hi all planners,

I am Evaluating Risks and also the impacts on Cost and Schedule dates of the Projects (for the first Time) ,Following are the issues that i have faced till now,

1- i have entered a risk,its impact date, WBS to which risk applies, and impacted Labor,Nonlabor units and expenses.but when ever i Calculate the impact,inly impact on cost is shown and no impact on schedule is calculated.i wonder if there is some step I am missing.

For example,

Risk Type: Rainy Season

Effected Date: 01-12-2011

Time period in user Preferences.

Hi,

I have activity calender equal to 10hr/D, and the default hours/Days is 8h/days.I have changed 8hr/Day into 10Hr/Day. My Question is,

Is there need to change the hrs/week ,hrs/month and hrs/year values or Primavera itself will take these values from the new  hrs/day value?

Resource Curves

Hi All p6 users,

Two Questions,

I have added a resource but before assigning it to different activities i have following details to keep in mind,

1- For Some activities the Units/Day are Distributed Equally through out the Duration of the actiivity.My question is that if i do not assign any curve to the resource,will primavera Distribute the unit/Day equally on the activity duration by default??

2-For some activities same resource is required to be distributed unevenly,i.e,

1week = 6hr/Day

Secant Piling

 

Dear Sir

 I am facing a problem with our Secant piling Contractor.

They have completed 8 primary piles since last three days.

When they started boring for the secondary piles their machines are broken down and we came to know that their machine and drill bit are not suitable for this task.

Now it’s almost three days over and the concrete is achieving more strength.

Please guide us for the next step.

Approval Period Help

I have an activity that when it finishes I allow 2 weeks approval until I then start my other activity below this.

 

How do i go about adding a 2 week approval period as I thought I just needed to add a constriant within my next activity saying start on or after 2 weeks after the end of the first activity in my plan.

My dates are from 20th Febuary 2012 untill 2nd march 2012.

I want to add quantity(area in sqm or no.s)

hi planners,

how can i assign and define the area of a project..means the schedule for glazing of a building,the wbs prepared is based on floors-

1st floor,2nd floor etc..

i want to add and show the total area of glass using in each floor and no of doors and windows in each floor..

Estimation of Manufacturing Durations for Procurement Activities

Hello good morning to my fellow planners.

I am in a predicament of estimating manufacturing durations which I have to incorporate to my Master Schedule

Most of them are Mechanical Equipments. Strippers, Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Tanks, Filters, In-Line Mixers, Pumps and Compressors.

Financial Periods

Hi All Primavera Users,

 

I have created financial perioods for a Project "Project A" but when I created another project separately "project b" and tried to creat Financial periods for it,I have found that the Financial Periods for "Project A" are already present there.I did not find any option of "show current project financial periods" or something like that.can any one explain that how we can add separate financial periods to different projects without getting interrupted by other projects data.
