Hi All,

I just came accross a demand from my project Manager. He asked me about the Earned value cost till the End of September,2011.The Program is only Cost Loaded (Using Expence Tab and there are not unit (Resources).I know that if you Reverse the data date then it gives you Planned avalue at that date. But is there any way to get earned value at that Exact date which has already passed.Like in my case it is almost one month back than the data date.I hope my question is clear

I am using primavera p6

Regards.

Project Controls: Producing a Horizontal Split P50 curve

S
Sam . 👤 Member for 16 years 10 months

Hi,

I have searched but cannot find the answer to this question.

I have produced a programme using P6 vs.7, and dumped the Early vs Late data into excel, to produce early + late curves.

Now I would like to produce a P50 (50% float) curve, however I am unsure how to calculate this as a horizontal split instead of vertical split.

Vertical split calculation is : (Early Start Units + Late Start Units)/2.

URL for video of Total Project Control presentation for DAU, Ft. Belvoir, VA

Some here might be interested in a video of a presentation I made recently on Total Project Control (including critical path drag) for the faculty and staff of Defense Acquisition University at Fort Belvoir, VA.  DAU has placed the 83 minute presentation for free viewing (you may have to download an appropriate plugin) on their website at:

Baseline Bars

Hi Everyone,

Gday.

Just a quick one. I got a Programme of the 12 months contract project. We're already completed the first quater and we have status several activities. I have not assign any baseline programme and we're just having BL and BL1 as  "current project" as default  however I wonder why the BL bar and Current bar are coming different.

I'd love to hear any ideas.

Cheers,

Deleted Tasks (WBS) by Principal

Hello Everyone,

We are advised by the Principal to delete a group of activities/wbs from the Programme and I'm wondering which is the best way to delete it.

First - Delete/dissolve the group of activities completely including all the assigned resources that will change the periodic and cumulative planned (%) percentage that is previously approved or

Second: mark the group of activites 100% complete so that the previosly established planned weight won't be changed.

I'd love to hear any suggestion from you guys.

Thanks in advance and happ

Lets say that the Delay is Totally on the part of Contractor and no EOT claim. Please tell me that What Criterial Of Percantage should be kept in mind.I mean to say that how much Actual % would be Lesser than Planned % when there will be a need for the recovery Schedule??? 4%,5%,6%...????
