I am having issues when importing back to p6. For instance, I was asked to input a role into the information. When I export to excel to speed up te process of adding the same role to every line item I run into issues when bringing it back into p6. For some reason the info does not go back in the correct place. Anyone experienced this before> I am sure it is something I am doing wrong.

hai can anyone give me sample how how forecast curve looks like. i have no idea how its looks like and since there is considerable delay in our procurment our clinet (Total) has asked us to put the forecast curve ( we had only planned curve and actual curve) on our monthly procurment curve. i would appreciate if anyone can give me some input on this

I am looking for some guidance and personal experiences of programme scheduling for repetitive work on numerous sites. Although this relates to construction work, I feel sure the same principles would apply to inspection or maintenance schedules as well.
Eg…Project A has 50 sites, each with five distinct activities (each a different trade/subcontractor). The sequence of activities is always the same, but as each site is unique, the durations will vary.
I'd like to get the opinion from the senior planners / schedulers as to how they handle the communications regarding the schedule. For instance, how do you publish the schedule once it is updated? How do you respond when someone else other than your manager (i.e. a project coordinator or a project engineer) makes a request for a review or to do a special exercise on the schedule? How do you respond when a drafter (someone who is not in a managerial position) comes to your office and asks you to send him/her the latest schedule?
I have two activities in my P6 schedule that have a star next to the start date but when you look at the activity details under the status tab, it shows no constraint. I scheduled and the star remains to be there. Any ideas of how to fix this?

Anyone could help me how to incorporate the milestone or activity repeating only for 4 hours in a week on the same time and on the same day.?
Lets suppose if the project is of 10 weeks, and i have a project meeting of 2 hours on each monday, then how to incorporate it into the program under a single WBS?... shall i have to write meetins activity 10 times or there is any other solution?.

i have started a new project and the owner wants to change the start date for working day calculation. I want to movethe start date and the activies to an earlier date.
