I seek help from the forum members on the following:
When I schedule P6, the non progressed activities acquire the data date as their Planned Start Date and the Original Duration also changes. I guess some setting may be wrtong, but I couldn't locate the wrong setting. Can someone please guide me?

Attention fellow Planners, I need help to fix our level 3 construction schedule development in P6. The situation is described below:
1) There is 3 project files involved as follows:
File 1: Current EP Schedule @ Production Node
File 2: Update/Back-up EP Schedule for Month April @ Update Node
File 3: Level 3 Const Dev't Schedule @ Development Node

2)In resource coloumn What is ment by MAXUnits/TIME
3)While loading the resources for 1 activity we need 5 helpers in that case we have to create 5 different resources or only we can create helpers and quantity how please explain?
4)What is meant by level of programme
5)How To calculate the total flote and critical path and Earned value analysis?
6)Please help me with some electrical and instrument activities

The normal form of splitting activities is to use the 'Suspend' and 'Resume' functions in P6. However I find that this does not work in my P6 system.
The activity does not indicate a stop and restart date in my Gantt chart.
Is there something I am doing wrong.
Any help will be greatly appreciated

Hi Friends,
Baseline Approved base on the Contract BOQ. Since its a re measured contract, monthly my quantities vary.
Please suggest me a proper way to monitor the progress, provide Plan % progress (Is it base on the Contract BOQ) then how about for the actual % progress? theres a new and deleted activities as well. I prepare the remaining quantities base on the contract BOQ however, still not accurate because of the changing quantity.

I have been given a project of already built 30 villas and the project is planning of road, water supply, and electricity supply to those villas. I dont have any idea since previously i was involved with MEP building planning.....so could anybody out there will help me out with their valuable suggestions!!!!!

Morning All,
Is it possible to add daily qtys into P6. Our engineers enter daily qtys into a spreadsheet and I would like to track it in P6. I am currently focused on tracking of crushing - I update the programme weekly and P6 spreads my qty evenly as an actual however I would like to add my daily qtys manually. Not sure if you can do it and some will argue is it worth it. However it sits on the critical path and I would like to manage it more closely.

Some of the comments for a baseline are listed below. Appreciate your comments.
1. Project Milestones. Is it compulsory to have successors to milestones.
2. Restriction of maximum duration for activities to 20 days. Some long lead items are 50 days or more. How to cut short. Any hard and fast rules.
3. Key Milestone Should have zero float.
4. Restriction / limit of total number of critical activities.
