Can a project have negative total float in baseline schedule? If not, why?
I came across Ron Winter's article on baseline http://www.ronwinterconsulting.com/rabaseline.htm, and according him there should not be negative total float in baseline schedule.

I work in Project Controls for a GC in Baton Rouge, La, and I had a question for you all. P6 is a program we use among some of our other duties and I was curious as I am still getting more and more familiar with the program. What is the purpose of Total Float and is it good to have a small amount of float in your activities?
I mainly build schedule for the Oil and Gas side and they are not very detail scheduled as we usually break them up by piping systems. However, we are getting more and more involved with P6 with our other duties so I was just curious?

I need to add pdf (punchlist, drawing etc) in one of my acivity, could anyone guide me step by step how to add pdf in P6 8.2 ?
I tried to go to Project > WPS & Docs > Files Tab. but there is no facility to add my attachments. or should I have data libraries linked to P6 database ?

WE know that SPI and CPI are calculated by p6 and we only need to open the columns to see the values.
I want to know, is it possible in P6 to have a month wise SPI & CPI from the start of the project to the current date. If it is possible please tell me how?

How would you schedule this?
There is a certain consulting firm which has a contract to provide 20 hours a month of consulting tasks. The contract spans through 6 months. There is a resource to be assigned to these 20 hours, however, that resource must also work on another ongoing project during that month.
How would you schedule this in Primavera / MS Project? (Or your preferred planning software)
