Hey All!
I was wondering if someone can help me. I am trying to neck an activity that is critical. the calendar attached to the activity already has the non work period into consideration. When i go to the bar setting and checked the calendar non work time and activity non work intervals nothing happens. Instead of necking the activity, the activities above it neck.
Can some experts please help?
Cheers!

I'd like to hear how other Schedule Managers or Project Controls Manager handle getting timely schedule updates from those responsible in performing the updates. Currently I'm charged with maintaining a portfolio of 15 projects. There are 13 Project Managers who I have performing the status updates, prior to my review, and the updated schedule being issued to the owner/subcontractors/etc. Data dates may be different depending on project requirement.
Recently, we received comments by the Client's Representative on the submitted 'Baseline Schedule'. One of the comment is to incorporate quantities in Primavera P6 and to provide the same along with production rates in 'Excel' format also.
My question is that is it mandatory to do provide the quantities & the production rates? What's the general practice in this regard, is it necessary to submitt this information all the time along with the Baseline Schedule?
Hoping to have some guidance on this issue from the Senior's out there. Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
Hi all,
I have recently been made aware that the schedule should have most of the activities with FS links to make out a sensible (delay) analysis.
I have tried to prepare a schedule in line with the above philosophy.
I have observed the following points while doing so:
1) I found out that the activities are in general taken up in parallel.
hello - hope someone can help - I am new to primavera planning with P6 and there is something i dont understand and would love some help-
P6 set up : fixed duration units/time - physical % - no resource assigned to any activity
scenario :
I have 3 activities all f-s linked with no constraints -and a DD set to aug 1st
1st activity starts on the 1st and finishes on the 3rd -100 % c/t
2nd activity starts 4th ends 21st - 100% c/t
Hi Everyone,
This is my first post as I am a new entrant to planning. I am currently trying to estimate the productivity rates for ductwork and under in the M&E section, ducting is 1.2 to 1.5 sqm/day/man.
I am confused with the use of square meter. So ductwork of 800x600mm for a run of 10 meters would take, Ductwork Square meterage [(0.8+0.6)*2]*10=28, then 28/1.2= 24 days for single person crew??
Some of team member go by measuring volume; which is correct?
All,
I am about to put together a simple P6 schedule for a scope of works including FM and logistics. I have 3 key stakeholders (PM's for various work streams) that I can communicate readily with.
