General planning comments and questions.
I just started recently in scheduling and I only have a basic skills in linking activities, please I need an advice to apply it in P6.
"Relatioships" or "sequencing" of activities are based on experience and logic. Suggestion please, where/how can I start learning or to have this knowledge?

Has anyone resource loaded their schedule with 'Equipment'? What unit of measure is best used? What kind of output do you produce and how is it useful to the project team?

I am trying to create a column titled Finish Variance CL14 and Finish Variance Last Period. I have successfully created these but don't know how to edit it or enter the formula to show me the variance/difference in the columns field.
Currently the fields are empty when I add the columns.

I am new to P6 ( from MS project environment) and cannot get a %compete figure to roll up into the wbs top level in the activity view (as you can in project).
I have tried it in the WBS layout but is not he same pictorially.
we are using straight level of effort no resource assigned and being advised of slips or increasing % ct manually.
can someone advise- if i dont respond i am not being rude but dont know how to answer you

Please need assistance in filtering baseline against my recent changes or vise versa:
If I want to filter out which activities has been recently changed or date moved against my latest BL just for double checking, which parameter/s I should use in my filter? The purpose is to know if there are some unwanted changes or moved dates not accordingly.

I hope every one will be fine. I need some help form u guys , I am planning engineer in a plant services department which deals with oil and gas , petrochemical plant turnarounds. We do turnarounds which merely have 15 to 20 days. My organization is interested in cummulative progress of the day. What we do , we plan , load resources , distribute them on 20 days (Bell shape) and start tracking by exporting the manhours to excel and than create S curve.This is simple way of tracking I wanted to track the projects via baselines in primavera p6.
