HI all,
I have a large programme for direct lay cable installation and have now been asked to create a ducted version. I'm not seeing any big differences between the two.
I would imagine you can lay all the ducting during excavation and backfill the trenchs and then pull the cable once all the ducting is in? Cant really see any other schedule alterations that would be required?
Feel like I'm missing a few tricks here so any advice very welcome.

Hi Planners,
I extracted the Planned monthly and Weekly progress in P6, but the percentages does not match at every end of the month. Weekly percentage is beat higher compared to monthly. All settings have been applied accordingly, e.g. unit of time, resource analysis, and timescale. Anybody can explain this problem.

Long time P3 user, was occassional now heavy P6 user. 3 things driving me crazy:
1). when I switch projects I always get the same default layout no what how I had left it, same with the filter. I want it to look like the last time I was in that file. It seems like it depends on what I was doing last in general. My layout section is a mess because I have so many, they need to add an organizational aid.
2). Also, if I open a file, then I open another file...how can I switch back and forth

Can we assign same resource (e.g electircal technician) to differenct projects or withins same project at same time in primavera p6 r8.2.
I am trying to manage my department resources on multiple projects, one resource not to assign multiple acitivities at same time acitivities.

Hi All,
I have an easy beginner question. I have a resource-loaded schedule and put in the reamining durations and actuals in place. The data date is somewhere in the middle of the projet lifetime and I need to get the forcast for futre time intervals based on 10 day shift. I have no problem get the planned hours from inception to completion but for the EVs and future forecast, how can I get the values based on the remaining durations and remaining resource units that I have in my system?
