at what point in is a DB held accountable for how long it takes to get submittals through and later procurements?

at what point in is a DB held accountable for how long it takes to get submittals through and later procurements?  For example, switchgear - if they do not do this right away it will not be there in time - is that on them.  What if submittals for windows are rejected 7 times?, at some point is this on the owner? - Or is that poor submittals?

MS Project Survey (ONLY FOR ENGINEERS)

Hi All, I am a University Masters student studying Civil Engineering. I’m currently in my final year and I’m doing a dissertation on 'The functionality of MS PROJECT'. If you are an ENGINEER and use/have used MS PROJECT, it would massively help if you could fill in the survey which can be accessed by clicking the link below. The survey will take no longer than 5-10 minutes and is completely anonymous. Once again, every response helps massively.

Approach to managing project portfolio with inter-project dependencies

E
Evgeny Z. 👤 Member for 18 years 4 months

Dear all,

several PM tools (e.g. Primavera, MS Project, Spider) have possibility to have inter-project dependencies.

Whilst they differ in implementation, the idea is the same in all tools.

But the question is: what shall be the general approach to managing project portfolio with interdependent projects?

The idea is that every project has its own scheduler and there is someone who oversees the projects all together.

From one side one would want projects to have interdependencies and be able to influence each other.

Client requests a Work Plan

L
Larry Rino 👤 Member for 18 years 7 months

Hi All,

We are developer and our Client requests a "Work Plan" for a site development.

Work Plan is too broad, it can either be a management plan, work narrative, or work scedule. Or maybe a budget plan or financing.

I dont have problem preparing any of those, just wanna get clear what a Mid-East client meant by these.

Thanks

Don't you have to "add new calendar" every time, or a change in the Calendar will change old schedules?

Don't you have to "add new calendar" every time, or a change in the Calendar will change old schedules? - if not, why not?
