I am stuck on what I am doing currently because I do not know how to start doing the recovery program. I completed the update on the actuals and I found out that we are behind the planned schedule for almost 20 days. We are getting worried as this project is only a 6-month duration working activities. I was reading a lot of information from the web but those were not that helpful.
Perhaps anyone from here can help me at least to start this learning process.

Client need a summary programme created by the consultant to have a realistic forecast date for the project completion considering the current delays , which is to be extracted from the contractor's schedule .

Hi, after I merged 2 schedules by importing XER, the WBS indent gone missing (see pic 1)
and I have noticed "???" on the group and sort drop down list as below
also, the WBS seem double at some area
anyone has the same problem before and please advice if know any solution, many thanks.
I work for a large construction company who is taking part in a billion dollar mega project. We have several projects of $1-10 million work. Our progress reviews are not based on a programme and a schudular is not even at these meeting. Instead QSs are participating in them.
What are your thoughts on this practice.

Ive been put into a situation whereby my CEO requires me to urgently put together a schedule for a smelter plant (One of those situatins where they do not understand that you need some form of scope to create a schedule). Ive only worked on construction and power stations, but do not have any experience with smelter plants.
Could anyone advise where i can try find information on schedules or the building process for a smelter plant.

Not really my area, so I thought I'd ask the brains trust:
I have a tunnel section of 6m x 8m to be excavated in Granitic material which is likely to be fairly massive. Approx tunnel Length 15km with a mid point adit so each drive is 3-4km. Expectation is that the majority of the drive is Class I requiring minimum support.
My current finger in the air is 6 - 10m/day, but does anyone have any cycle times / excavation rates that I can compare against? There's nothing in the rates area of PP.
