P6 SDK: Activity6v6.xls work partially after to upgrade Primavera P6 8.3 to 8.3.15

Hello everyone:I have been working with the SDK in the P6 version 8.3, and I interacted without problems between the database and the SDK spreadsheets. After to upgrade to version 8.3.15 the spreadsheet Activity6v6.xls works partially: every time I try "Set Activity Relationships", I get the following error: "Row 3: Insert new TASKPRED: Values are required for lag_hr_cnt" for each of the activities that the project has.

the case for and against putting a Float Activity at the end to keep critical path zero for simplicity etc.

In an normal environment with an Owner, a CM, and a Contractor what is the the case for and against putting a Float Activity at the end to keep critical path zero for simplicity etc and to key on time left at the end.  The definition of Ctitical Path is zero float - but what if you have more time than you need - such as 3 months on a 2 year job, it would not be helpful to inflate durations just to hit the spec, but also a "float" activity at the end might have issues.  If the contractor wants to show float, isn't it in the owners favor to let them.

EOT claim

G
Gowhar Mir 👤 Member for 8 years 1 month

Hi there!

I wanted to ask you planners out there, how to make an EOT claim in primavera? I have collected all the information about events and everything. I wanted to know how to present that in the program? I mean suppose an event that is delaying the project takes place on 20th July, which update to use? One after the event to show the impact or before it to forecast the impact? Also, what baseline to use? The approved baseline or we need to convert the prog into its baseline. Latter will show the exact delay, former may create issues for activities that are in progress.

Unable to Filter; Received Error Message: AVAA0-1669-0

As I've been implementing all the helpful advice members have been providing, I suddenly received an error message when attempting to filter:

And it's not just this schedule; filtering no longer works in any of my schedules.  In fact, the filter button has even been removed from the menu bar.

Copy User Defined Field (UDF) Data from One Project to Another

Hello,

I have inherited a Baseline Schedule that was developed by previous scheduler and has been going through the revise & resubmit process for several months.

When I got on board, I was asked to create a simplified schedule to use for planning purposes while the Baseline was being approved.  During this time, I have created several User Defined Fields (UDFs) for tracking submittals and other useful information.

The Baseline Schedule has been approved, and it will be the only schedule I will be using going forward.

Single Resource for Multiple Concurrent Activities

Hello,

The owner is requesting a schedule that has an "access" resource assigned to each activity, but several activities will be performed from the same "access" concurrently in the same location.

We have a travelling scaffold system from which eight schedule activities will be performed more or less concurrently in a 10 WD cycle.

How would you go about assigning a this single scaffold as a resource to multiple activities that will be using it in the same location concurrently?

Thanks for any ideas!
