OK, so we had this problem importing XML files into P6 and it stumped us for a while. It turns out it was a bug in P6 Professional version 18.8 and there is a patch to fix it http://ed.gr/blcwh
I hope this helps other folks that have been struggling with this.

I have been searching for this everywhere, but no succes..
So I always had succes when I used the right-click -> export to excel option.
Now, I have saved some different layouts and when I use a different layout I get an Excel export without any activities.
It does show the title columns.
I tried different view-filters and by accident I had one activity already marked as 'in progress', now this one was shown in the dump.
Anyone any idea what the problem is?

I'd like to as you about multi user for installation oracle primavera p6 on server. We will use as two user to conect and manage schedule which will be installed on the server. In this case should we buy one or two licence to use?

I need help in copying the activities and their durations (including WBS names) from primavera p6 to MSP
I have tried exporting the P6 schedule into excel and then loaded it into MSP, but unfortunately none of the activities were grouped under the respective WBS (so I spent the day creating summary tasks in MSP and copy pasting the activties in each WBS). The problem is that the P6 schedule has over 3000 activities.
Is there any way in primavera that I can recall that information?I took over from a previous plan and now they want to improve in the past. for example, they want early start costs and late start costs for a specific day in the past.
A couple of weeks ago I couldn't open my 8.2 stand alone P6 on the laptop loaned to me by the consultancy that I am contracting through. Didn't get any help and got the problem fixed by taking the laptop to a local repairer who deleted quite a few viruses.
P6 now opens but is asking to configure the database. Before I do this I want to verify whether the data in P6 is safe if I configure the database or will configuring overwrite the data?

- We are having lots of UDFs which are not using from long time but consuming lots of data. Is there any way we can filter out which udf is not in use so that we can remove the UDF. Also need to take backup for udf .
