Here's a place to discuss some Primavera Enterprise questions
I have been given a project that has actuals in Microsoft Project. I need to pull out the baseline from this into p6. What would be the best solution once inported into p6? Would I need to uncheck the finish and start section on the actuals? There are about 1200 activies and another alternaitve would be helpful.
I have taken over a schedule that is not resource loaded. However, management would like to add resources even though job has already started. The job is a EPC project. The constuction side is resoure loaded but not the engineering side. What would be the best solution for this task? Would I need to make a copy of the baseline, export, make the changes to include resources then import back in?

Hi there!
I am fairly new to Primavera, therefore the below question may seem a little strange to some of the pros here.
Is there a way to convert the steps of a task to tasks. Originally some task were created as steps and now the team would like to view the steps as tasks and view the logic and driving tasks.
The task was entered as Task Dependent and the steps added to it. In a second place in the project the tasks were entered as a level of effort and I have converted them.
Any help would be a benefit

During a process of passing XERs back and forth with a consultant, all activity codes for about 2000 activities were deleted.
Are there any automated ways of adding them back in using a previous version where the codes still exist?

Hi, I'm looking for some advice on deleting activities on a plan. I need to delete some activities which are no longer valid and redistribute hours to new activities. The plan has been baselined. What is the best way for me to do this? I'm looking for the best practice.
I've tried deleting activities from both the plan and the baseline before and also dissolving activities. If I'm creating new activities I also need to add these into the baseline? I'd like to know the right way to do this, any ideas or advice would be great.
I see in P6, based on the default settings at project level, the activity ID gets incremented automatically when we copy an activity. Is there similar setting somewhere for auto incrementing of Project Number at EPS level when we create a project, please?
