Hi,
I am trying to import activities and resources from excel (.xlsx) to primavera. After selection of excel file when a popup appear to select the project, where should I want to import the data, that project list window appear blank, without any list of P6 project. Kindly let me know the reason and troubleshooting for this.

I have seen it done many ways - best ways is to talk with people. But beyond that - we all know we can export excel and have people update that - has its advantages. Seen marked up PDF's. I know there used to be "client software" for updates. But what is best or really good. Say for example 10 different AEC professionals of varying technical ability WORKING REMOTELY...for example. No wrong answers.

I am using the Project level Notebook feature to record Monthly Progress Statements which are then exported in a csv file for use in other reporting systems.
My challenge is:
This month I will want all the newly created entries, next month all the newly created entries for that timeperiod and so on, month by month I want to capture the latest dated Notebook entry per category.

When updating P6 schedule using Duration % complete, Units are not getting updated automatically. This issue exists when maintain & Assign baseline using "save a copy of project as new baseline" option is chosen. However the issue gets solved when I opted for " Convert another project to a new baseline of the current Project" option. Would like to know the root cause of the issue. Please help

A good and a blessed day to all and it's been a while that i post.
Question:
We would to know if any of you have experienced to add manpower resources to an on-going project, wherein it is around 82% complete (and a lot of activities are 100% complete)? Or is there a trick or a way-around to do manpower loading in an on-going project schedule? Thank you in advance and hoping you help us on the matter.

We recently moved to P6 R18 from R8. In R8, the combination of Alt + V + F + Enter would open the filter list. It no longer does. Alt + V + F will show the filter option in the left side menu but hitting Enter no longer opens the filter list.
Does anyone know of a solution or has this very helpful feature simply been removed?

I'm in the process of building a fully resource loaded schedule and have recently been advised that I need to apply a 6% internal inventory charge to all materials to recoup internal stores costs.
The obvious answer is to adjust the price / unit for each material but that is not possible as these resources are already in use by multiple teams where this 6% rate doesn't apply. Total cost for all resources is calculated costs x units but I'm hoping someone can advise me as to how I could create and apply this 6% charge across the relevant materials.
