PLEASE HELP .. I opened too many projects and cant access my P6

Hi Everyone, if anyone knows a way out of this I would highly appreciate it.

I wanted to backup my projects (over 100 projects) so I can transfer these projects to another computer with an higher version of P6, so I tried opening like 15 of them to export, and the P6 stopped worrking and it wouldnt open again for insuffecient memory, I increased my RAM to 16GB, and my computer is an Intel Core I7, and still, it wouldnt open !!!!!!!!!! ... could anyone please help me with a solution ?!!! I can access my files and getting close to a very critical due datesss !!!

Mapping Primavera P6’s WBS in into Deltek Cobra’s WBS Code Field

Resource Id's not importing from SubContractor Schedule

Hi,

I am importing an updated schedule into our EPS and since the last update, I am not getting any Resource Id's. Budgeted Hours are fine, just no res. id's.

Always importing as a new project, and previously did not have this issue. Contractor has provided export in v7.0 and 8.3 to no avale. Even the large full export has not worked. Have tried multiple options in the import layout.

Feel like I am missing something silly here!

Time distributed costs to Excel

Hi

I want to export time distributed costs to Excel to include resource and expenses (which are loaded to milestones). There are reports in P6 that will do the resource costs but not the expenses. I want to the costs to be time distributed by financial period.

 

Excel is far better for making graphs and managing the data and I would have thought including expenses is essential, but can't find anything.

 

Has anyone ideas please?

User defined field name changed

I'm working for a chemical company in Germany with different site locations. We all use Primavera P6 to plan our turnarounds.

A strange thing happened yesterday. Suddenly we noticed after logging in that a user defined field which we have created at the start, named "X", now has a different name, "Example_2017_X".

My colleague and I are sure that we haven't changed this UDF, so who has ?

Can I see somewhere who has created or changed UDF in a logbook ?

Defining Job Site Headcount

Any suggestions out there on a way to extract the amount of actual bodies I will have on a jobsite after I have all my resource loaded.

I suppose I could export the units out to an excel spreadsheet and get it from there based on my units max per day, and the calendar, but was curious if there was a way to do that in P6.

PS. be gently, I'm not a full time scheduler. What may seem easy to you, is like rocket science to me.
